Nick Preciado

Nick is an editor at San José Spotlight with a drive to keep the community informed. He has experience covering local politics and government, transportation, land use, and business, among other topics.

He previously managed a small reporting team at BenitoLink, a nonprofit news site in San Benito County. Prior to that, he reported for the Hollister Free Lance, Gilroy Dispatch and Morgan Hill Times newspapers.

Nick graduated from Humboldt State University in 2013 with a degree in English writing practices and a minor in journalism. While at school, he helped lead the editorial team at the student-run Lumberjack newspaper.
