Sofia Ruvalcaba joined San José Spotlight as a journalism fellow from Santa Clara University in a first-of-its-kind local fellowship program and partnership. Sofia is a junior English major with a journalism minor at Santa Clara University and serves as Scene Editor at the campus newspaper, The Santa Clara.
She is the author of SOUNDCHECK, the paper’s music column, where she highlights and supports the local music scene. In her free time, she enjoys baking, reading, writing, and attending local concerts.
