Ashley Kang is an audience engagement intern at San José Spotlight.
She studies journalism at San José State University and serves as Web Editor of The Spartan Daily, the campus newspaper. As a staff writer, she covered student protests and community responses to geopolitical conflicts. Before that, she was a video editor for La Voz News, the student newspaper at De Anza College.
She is passionate about finding ways to invite people into the world of news. In her free time, she enjoys reading, listening to music and ice skating.
