Keith Menconi

Keith Menconi is a senior reporter covering San Jose City Hall, city politics and governance issues.

Prior to joining Spotlight, Keith worked as a print and broadcast journalist at a string of newsrooms both in the Bay Area and in Taipei, Taiwan. Those have included the San Francisco Chronicle, the San Francisco Examiner, KCBS Radio, and ICRT FM 100.

Over the course of his career in journalism, he has delivered live radio reports from the firelines of major wildfires in Northern California, provided in-depth coverage of San Francisco’s housing crisis, and hosted spirited panel discussions featuring leading Taiwanese politicians and news pundits.

For five years, Keith served as the host and lead producer of KCBS In Depth, KCBS Radio’s premier current events talk show program. During that time, the program won multiple awards, including plaudits for its long-running coverage of the Bay Area’s mental health crisis.

Keith was born and raised in Milpitas.
