Jennifer (Jen) Morrow is San José Spotlight’s audience engagement specialist. She is passionate about using digital mediums to connect local readers with stories about their community and the issues that matter to them.
Jen got her start in the news business as a TV/radio booking intern for McClatchy and CalMatters. She also worked in news partnerships and engagement at the hyperlocal news site Patch.com and was a freelance writer for San Joaquin Magazine. Most recently, Jen worked at University of the Pacific in Stockton as a multimedia content specialist and served as a freelance marketing strategist for the nonprofit news startup Stocktonia, where she launched a weekly newsletter and supported fundraising efforts.
A Central Valley native, Jen graduated from University of the Pacific in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in English. In her free time, she loves thrifting, listening to her favorite podcasts and writing (and occasionally performing) music.
